#1 Vitamix Almond Milk Recipe

Home made fresh raw almond milk is Raw, Live, Creamy, Frothy, Healthy, and has no additives or preservatives like most processed nut milks. It is a little piece of nutty heaven -- sweet, mild, and more gentle on the digestive system than heavily processed milks. It is fantastic to drink, put it on cereals, use in smoothies and shakes, and in cakes. I just can't get enough of it.

Chocolate Cherry Green Machine

I’m all about great tasting smoothies in my life. Smoothies with a spoon are the way to go. But the best way to thicken a smoothie? Avocado! I love adding avocado not just because of it’s consistency but also its added nutritional benefit. Avocados are a fantastic source of monounsaturated “good” fat (helps lower bad cholesterol and raise good cholesterol), potassium, folate and fibre.

The Veggie Julius!

The Smoothie that tastes like a desert, but delivers like a meal. Being bold and extra green on your first smoothie attempt will not win new green smoothie lovers. Baby steps are the key to making a smooth transition to developing a taste for greens in your child’s smoothie. So make those first few smoothies creamy with a lot of fruit and just a hint of green veggies. Then with each smoothie you serve, add a little less fruit and a little more green leaves. Also a little less juice and milk and a lot more filtered water. Your goal is to pack in your child’s daily needs for green vegetables.

Greenberry Oxidant Delight!

When it comes to health, berries have a fabulous reputation. Blueberries are packed with antioxidants, called anthocyanins, that may help keep memory sharp as you age, and raspberries contain ellagic acid, a compound with anti-cancer properties. All berries are great sources of fiber, a nutrient important for a healthy digestive system. But if you need more reasons to dig into summer’s sun-kissed little fruits, look no further than two new studies, which suggest that berries may be good for your heart and your bones as well

Energizer Bunny Bites 2.4

So this little bite size idea was brought to you by an awesome reader. She emailed me with a non-paleo recipe of energy bites that were combined using oats and asked if I could come up with something! I love her. Well, oats make poop float in your bloodstream, and I personally don’t want that, so I came up with my own little version of energy bites
